Unfortunatly, I believe the last sentence in the fourth paragraph is incorrect, "Another is a $35 cap on monthly insulin costs." My understanding is that Senate Republicans stripped that feature out of the final draft passed by the Senate with a 50/50 tie decided by Vice President Harris. It's truly a shame because insulin need not cost as much as it does in the U.S. In countries that don't treat basic health care as a for-profit enterprise insulin is accessible at very reasonable cost. Apparently, millions of Americans who require insulin must all be Democrats.
The insulin provision in the final bill is limited to Medicare. It was stripped out for those enrolled in private-sector insurance plans.
